Biff (00:10)
Hello, everybody. Welcome to another week of Laugh Smartly with your host Biff, Mr. Fun, and special guest host, Slab, which we he will say a few words in a matter of moments. Lucky, as we mentioned last week, is in Europe, doing a tour of Eastern, old Eastern Europe, I think it, and maybe even not World War II Germany for that matter, before he goes to Munich for Oktoberfest. so Slab is graciously

joining us, and we are excited about that. And we will come on to him in a matter of moments. But before we do that, Mr. Fun, start us off with a joke.

Mr Fun (00:43)
This is a clean one. It's a it's a it's a bad dad joke. So the did you hear about the frog who had his DNI t his DNA tested? He learned he was a little Italian, a little French and be maybe tadpole. Maybe a tadpole.

Biff (00:58)
Which is actually well, that's a great one 'cause Lucky is w was in Poland at least for a day or two this week. He he went to crack.

Mr Fun (01:04)
Yeah, yeah. He called me from

there. He he had some German sausage, but it was the worst. It was the worst. Never

Biff (01:12)
Never get tired of those jokes.

Mr Fun (01:13)
get tired.

Slab (01:14)
All right.

Biff (01:14)
So so as I mentioned, Slab, who has actually been on the show before, gosh, it's might might be a year and a half or so. he joined us on a joke-telling spree that we had on the on the podcast. So, Slab, it is great to have you here. as your first

Slab (01:28)
Great to be here.

Biff (01:29)
words, tell us where the nickname Slab comes from. Because Mr. Fun and I have known you our entire time as Slab, even before we handed out nicknames in the fraternities. So, how Slab come?

Slab (01:40)
it started before the fraternity. I was working at a bar in Rockville, Maryland with what ended up being my fraternity big brother. And behind that bar there was not a lot of room to move around. And he just blurted out one day, You big fat slab of meat, keep moving, you're in my way. And from that came the nickname, you're the big slab.

Biff (02:03)
Forevermore. It's too bad he didn't say hunk of meat, because then you'd be hunk, which would be just what might be ironic.

Mr Fun (02:09)
You know, and Slab was

Slab (02:10)
Both on what

Mr Fun (02:11)
Slab was one

Slab (02:11)
we need.

Mr Fun (02:11)
of the first when we gave out nicknames because we're older than than Slab. When we gave out nicknames in the fraternity, we created a rule that basically if you already had a good nickname, it was not in our wheelhouse to change it. We kept the good nicknames and we gave everybody else a all the other pledges, who by the way are now known as new initiatives. There's no such thing as pledges in fraternities anymore, guys. They're now called new members or new initiatives.

But we used to give them nicknames.

Biff (02:38)
new initiatives or new initiates? And what are those two words?

Mr Fun (02:40)
I don't know. I don't know how to speak English.

Slab (02:42)
One of those two. Doesn't matter.

Biff (02:44)
So

Mr Fun (02:44)
Doesn't really matter.

Biff (02:45)
so we did TAS Lab with with Billing the Lucky Chair for the week, and he's got some news topics which we will cover over

Slab (02:51)
Peaceful.

Biff (02:51)
in a few minutes. but before getting to that, first want to thank Rockfish Mrs. Funn once again for leading us into the show. Scotty's vodka, Marilyn Made, Maryland Smooth. I saw Scotty last week into the

Right

before the what unfortunately was canceled, Ocean's Calling. Saw him up at the starboard in Dewey Beach, Delaware. Great to see Scotty and lady friend Jen, his wife. they were they were gracious for us at the tailgates, as we said previously, and it's always good to catch up with Scott. Hold the hold my calls, please.

Mr Fun (03:20)
Sorry.

Biff (03:20)
That's okay. so again, it's great to see Scotty. and then finally in our list of sponsors, Tackle Up Bethany Beach, tackle up bb dot com. Please go there. It's performance fishingware.

But as we're getting into the kind of the colder months, it's a reminder too that they sell more than just shirts that have UP or what is it, SPF factors and UV ratings and things like that. They sell sweatshirts, hoodies, long sleeve shirts, you name it. It's a great place to go for for gifts, especially as we get into the holiday season. And again, go to tackleupbb.com and put put in the code LAF15, Laugh15, to get 15% off. So please do that.

did get some feedback from last week. I just found a few things to share. So the aforementioned Rockfish reached out to us on a couple of things. One of them was California Sober, which was one of the new terms in the Miriam Webster's online dictionary, at least. and he sent a song which was a song by Billy Strings and Willie Nelson, which was a song about California Sober, what they sing. And I suppose if Lucky had said that Willie Nelson is another who would understand California Sober, I would have known that it just

marijuana at that point. so that I did get that from Rockfish, so I appreciate that. did share some thoughts on AI and the issues that they're having of AI models going rogue. so he and I went back and forth on that. most notably open A OpenAI this past week pulled off an update because they didn't have the security measures in place because they were worried about AI going rogue. and then finally on a feedback

Monty W., longtime listener of ours, Chesapeake Beach, I think he is, is where he lives currently on the western shore, correctly pointed out that during the NFL picks, I indicated that the Dallas Cowboys Baltimore Ravens game was going to be in Mexico City and that altitude was going to be a problem. Come to find out that I was one, the game was played at sea level in Rio de Janeiro.

So I I had gotten A the language wrong and B the altitude completely wrong. the Ravens did go on to win that game, so obviously that they they they w they live at sea level. Maybe that was to their advantage.

Mr Fun (05:28)
Yeah, you were you were about a Brazilian miles off.

Biff (05:33)
That's very good. Very good. and then finally I'll I'll do this just because living here in the Del Marva, the the the Nor'easter did a number, as everybody at least read about it if you didn't experience all of it, especially on the on the on the coastal areas in Ocean City, all the way up to Rehoboth Beach, and the the beaches got hammered, cancelled oceans calling last weekend, which was second time in five years I think it was, canceled oceans calling. it was something I've never seen flooding like it.

It

it pushed water to places I never knew you could get water to in the area. But hopefully everybody's okay. I don't I don't think there was any deaths in this area, but it was definitely a lot of flooding and there's a lot of damage, and hopefully the the beaches will recover. Which brings me to surface level genius, which I unveiled or debuted last week about poop. So it's a little bit to know about poop to make sure that you can have just enough information to be dangerous in a conversation.

I got some good feedback on that. So I'm I'm glad to bring it back this week. And tied to the floods, I thought we'd learn a little bit in surface level genius about tides. Because

Mr Fun (06:35)
Okay.

Biff (06:35)
you know, we we you hear about tides. I sort of understood tides, not sure I still understand them, even having done some research. but I'll ask you two right out of the gate, what causes tides? What would you say if I asked you, what causes tides?

Mr Fun (06:48)
Well, I know that tides get high because of seaweed.

Biff (06:52)
Hay

Slab (06:54)
And you

can eat Tide Pods. Does that call Moon? I'd go with moon too.

Mr Fun (06:57)
Yes. How about the moon? The moon, right?

Biff (06:57)
Okay, all right. That the the

the moon does. The moon is the main driver on tides. So this is an interesting point. water closest to the moon bulges outward. That's one high tide, right? But there's two tides a day. I think if you've if you looked at the back of the lifeguard chair, if you've been to the beach, there's always two tides. On the opposite side of the earth, inertia, the tendency of water to keep moving, creates a second bulge, another high tide.

That's what happens. So there's a, you know, it's when the moon goes to the other side that it it causes a high tide on the second side, because that's sort of tied to the sun as well. You know, it's a the sun also affects the tides. tidal force is weaker, about half the moon's, you know, in terms of gravity. But interestingly, which I I now know what a word means that I've seen before, there's a thing called spring tides. That's when the sun, moon, and earth line up, right? Typically at a new moon or a full moon.

And the gravitational pulls combine extra and make extra high tides and extra low tides. The that lining up is called syzygy. S Y G S Y Z Y-G-Y. Maybe

Mr Fun (08:04)
Mm-hmm.

Biff (08:04)
you've seen that word. I have definitely seen it before. but it there there is not going to be a spelling test on that. But, anyways,

Slab (08:07)
Is there gonna be a spelling test later? Do I need to write that down?

Biff (08:11)
that's that's syzygy. And then there's one called NEEP, N-E-A-P tides. That's when the soon sun and the moon are at right angles, quarter moons.

And their pools are partially canceled, so it's milder tides. So it's when the full moon or no moon, big tides, when there's, you know, partial moons, it's not as high. so that's you know, the basics on it. The other one, which I guess I maybe I knew this. Do you know how long a lunar day is?

Mr Fun (08:39)
no.

Biff (08:39)
It's

twenty four hours and fifty minutes, five zero minutes. So the day is longer. The lunar day is longer. That's why the tides move, when you see the tide chart, they move by fifty minutes. That's why it moves each day at fifty minute intervals.

Mr Fun (08:54)
Did you say

when a woman moons you you can get a bulge? Is that is that what you said? I wasn't really listening. I fell asleep. I fell asleep but I woke back up.

Biff (08:58)
Yeah. I I

Slab (09:03)
So plus. Some quotes.

Biff (09:06)
No, okay. Well,

they're very good. So but you have taken us to a place I was not expecting here, Mr. Fudd. But again, that's the and the final points I make on tides is the fact that as I I said earlier, the full moon has its closest when it's closest to the earth, even bigger tides. That's called sometimes a full moon happens when the moon is at perigee, P-E-R-I-G-E. The closest when it's its closest point to Earth, this creates

Creates perigean spring tides. So you know those times when the when the moon is closer, the tides are worse. So going back to the the last flooding for the Nor'easter, it was a full moon, which exacerbated much of the the tidal issues that were there.

Slab (09:46)
Damn.

Biff (09:47)
So we now know a little bit about tides on our segment surface level genius. But at this point though, I'm gonna turn it over to our guest host.

Slab to bring us some other news newsy items.

Slab (10:01)
Speaking of tides, this story came out about the twenty thirty two Brisbane, Australia Olympics. They may have a crocodile problem. Concerns the proposed Olympic rowing venue, potentially sharing waters with a population of saltwater crocodiles from the Pademo website. Do you think adding crocodiles finally makes rowing competition television worthy?

Would that be something that you guys would actually

Mr Fun (10:29)
I would turn into

it for sure.

Biff (10:31)
yeah, you gotta imagine that. I mean it'll be I mean you've got that the obviously you're y the the rowing, which is like, you know, who knows what countries they are. Let's call it the Germans against the you know, the the the Dutch

Slab (10:42)
Right.

Biff (10:42)
or something like that. Right. And you know, to have a have a crocodile swim across and you know and stir things up, so to speak, it'd be awesome. It would be

Mr Fun (10:52)
Yeah.

Biff (10:53)
awesome.

Slab (10:53)
Can't chase you.

Biff (10:54)
Yeah, chase you, exactly.

It would it would make some of the long distance swimming also if you you could get throw one into a pool or two. So

Slab (11:01)
Yeah, what other

sports would adding animals add a lot more excitement to?

Mr Fun (11:05)
I think they should all the track and field running events, they should have starving lions facing the runners.

Biff (11:12)
Ha ha

ha.

Slab (11:13)
Well it's

Australia, kangaroos chasing after you trying to punch you. absolutely a hundred percent.

Mr Fun (11:15)
I think that would I think that Yeah.

Biff (11:18)
They should have kangaroo boxing matches. We've talked about kangaroos in the last

Mr Fun (11:20)
They should.

Biff (11:22)
few weeks. So we we've talked about this before. you know, w could you take down a kangaroo? I think we agree that you couldn't take down a kangaroo with the if you were naked and doing that. But would you take a punch from a kangaroo?

Would you would you, Mr. Funn?

Slab (11:35)
No way. No way.

Mr Fun (11:38)
can I take a punch from a kangaroo? Now I don't think those big I think those big ones will knock you out. The big ones.

Biff (11:43)
Do you think

it's the is it the you so you think their their sh short little forelegs or their arms would knock you out as opposed to a kick? I think it

Mr Fun (11:50)
There's like a

seven foot kangaroo, I think. I think the big ones, the reds, what are they called? They're I think they'll kick

Biff (11:53)
Really? Okay.

Slab (11:57)
Big Remember.

Mr Fun (11:58)
your butt. Do you think if you as hard as you could, if you punched a water buffalo in the face, do you think you'd move it?

Biff (12:05)
W move it meaning move the face or move the water balve? No, no, you couldn't.

Mr Fun (12:08)
You wouldn't knock it down, right? They would just dip.

Biff (12:11)
I guess here's your question is if you hit the head, which is a big thing, could you move the head?

Mr Fun (12:16)
Yeah. Yeah.

Biff (12:19)
that would be tough, I would imagine. Imagine it would hurt too, right? Could you what

Slab (12:23)
You're only getting one punch.

Mr Fun (12:26)
I

just thought

Slab (12:26)
Cause 'cause maybe that's coming after you.

Mr Fun (12:28)
I don't know anybody tough enough to punch a water buffalo and tell the tale of it afterwards.

Biff (12:32)
Yeah.

Mr Fun (12:34)
That's the toughest man alive to punch a water buffalo.

Biff (12:37)
So okay. Yes, that's right. Did you

Slab (12:38)
Must be harder than cow tipping. Water buffs are function.

Mr Fun (12:40)
Yeah.

Biff (12:42)
cow tipping, yeah is cow tipping a legend or real?

Mr Fun (12:44)
People have done it.

Biff (12:46)
Is it such a thing? Or is it like an urban myth?

Slab (12:48)
I'm voting Urban Myth. Do you know anyone that's

Biff (12:50)
Okay, we should

Mr Fun (12:50)
Really?

Slab (12:51)
actually done it?

Biff (12:52)
I don't know. Maybe I'll look it up here in a matter of moments as after we we get through this story. I'll come back to it.

Mr Fun (12:56)
There's something there's

a joke there about giving a gratuity to a large woman.

Biff (13:02)
So have you

Mr Fun (13:01)
There's something. There's a joke there's something.

Biff (13:03)
have either of you been to Australia?

Slab (13:04)
She's worked shopping that.

Biff (13:06)
Either

Mr Fun (13:06)
Now

Biff (13:06)
of you been to Australia? So I I did go, I went to went on business trip a couple times, and one of the times I got to go off the barrier, Great Barrier Reef. This is in the northeastern coast of Australia, beautiful area. Cairns, it's C-A-I-R-N-S. It's one of the points that you can access the Great Barrier Reef. But they talk about the crocodiles.

You know, swimming close to shore because they're saltwater. They they they've

Mr Fun (13:27)
Mm.

Biff (13:27)
adapted to salt water or what have you. So that you know it makes it's a little disconcerting. I was doing a resort dive, so I wasn't like going a hundred feet under, I was going twenty or thirty feet under. But one of the things that we went under the water, which was which was new to me, so they have those giant clamshells, let's call them three, four feet across, right? And then and the guide were underwater doing the whole hand signal thing and walking around the the the the the the the ocean floor, and then the guide.

sticks his hand in one of the clams, right? And it shuts on him. I'm like, that just seems like the dumbest thing in the world is to to do that. Would you ever

Mr Fun (13:58)
Yeah. By the

way, if you had given me a test like fact or fiction, are there three foot clamshells? I would have definitely said no. Like

I had no idea those were real. I thought those were

Biff (14:07)
they're they're he yeah, they're big ones for sure. Yeah,

Mr Fun (14:11)
just in cartoons.

Biff (14:12)
yeah. But yeah, that's right. That's right. That's where the little mermaid

Slab (14:15)
with a mermaid living in it. SpongeBob actually.

Mr Fun (14:17)
Yeah.

Biff (14:19)
lives. And

Mr Fun (14:20)
No idea.

Biff (14:21)
yeah, but anyways, I just remember when he did that, I'm like, I'm not sure I would ever do that. Yeah, I'm

Mr Fun (14:26)
He probably knew it was gonna be okay, right?

Biff (14:29)
I'm guessing he did. I'm guessing he did. He was he was a clam proctologist, he knew where to go.

Mr Fun (14:34)
Yeah.

Biff (14:35)
So would you okay, but question for both you do you like touching things underwater?

Mr Fun (14:41)
So, you know, whenever I watch like people gathering like sea urchins and stuff,

Biff (14:46)
huh.

Mr Fun (14:46)
I'm always freaked out. Like how do they know? That and eating mushrooms are the two things I would never do. I would never eat something from the bottom of the ocean or pick a mushroom off the ground and eat it. Two things that I just will never do. Never.

Biff (15:01)
What

what about you, Slav?

Slab (15:02)
No, it just when you step on something in the ocean, you're like, what the heck was that? Yeah. Right.

Biff (15:06)
Yeah, every everything's a crab, right? It's usually just a shell, I'm guessing, at that point in time. So so

Mr Fun (15:06)
Yeah.

Yeah.

Biff (15:11)
I got another, you know, travel story. So mushrooms, Mr. Fun. So I was in for work, we were doing this photo shoot in Spain, and we're we're on this field, and all of a sudden, you know, we're we're it was very pretty. We're doing all this setting up for the the the the vehicles and all this other stuff. And then these hippies walk through the field where we are, and they start picking mushrooms out of the cow manure, right?

'Cause that's I believe

Mr Fun (15:34)
Wow.

Biff (15:34)
that's where the mushrooms that are the hallucinics come from. So they were picking, they were intentionally picking mushrooms out of cowpoo so they could get high. Again,

Mr Fun (15:44)
Wow.

Biff (15:44)
to your point, not something I would do.

Mr Fun (15:47)
No way.

Biff (15:48)
but it's a you know, I don't know. yeah, they were eating them and while

Slab (15:49)
Were they eating right there or did they at least watch them?

Biff (15:51)
they were going along, they were just picking them out and eating them. So that was a you know, they they were having a better day probably than than than we might have even been

Slab (15:57)
Yeah, that's a crappy trick.

Biff (15:58)
having at that point in time. So what'd you say?

Slab (16:01)
That's a crappy

Biff (16:02)
That's a crappy trip. That's right. So

Slab (16:03)
Yeah, tripping on my shape.

Biff (16:04)
so obviously going to Australia and and to Spain requires air travel. So I've you teased us with a with a story about air travel and I'm I'm curious to get some thoughts

Slab (16:12)
Yeah.

Biff (16:13)
on this.

Slab (16:13)
Yeah, here's a it's a a what would you do? A a woman flying from New York to Hawaii struggled to put her heavy carry on in the overhead compartment, asked a male passenger for help, he declined. She posted about it all over the internet, turned this into a referendum on courtesy, entitlement, and whether you should pack a bag you can't lift yourself. My question to you guys if you can't lift your own carry on, should you have checked it?

Mr Fun (16:39)
I actually threw out my carry on bag. It got old and my wife was like, you know, that carry on bag's gonna be so sad and I was like, I don't have any room for emotional baggage in my life.

Hey wait, I did see a knight. A knight got on a plane and he had the he had his lance in his carry-on. And I said, I think they have the the the lances at the at the tournament. And he said, this is jousting case. Joust in case.

Biff (17:09)
Joust joust in case.

Slab (17:10)
Just in case.

Biff (17:12)
I'm gonna go off in second. So the thing that they joust with, that's a lance? That big

Slab (17:17)
Yes.

Biff (17:17)
s that big thing? I never knew that was the that's what that's called. I I I d I would have

Slab (17:20)
What would you call it? Polarical?

Mr Fun (17:20)
Yeah.

Biff (17:23)
called it I don't know, I I would have called it a spear or something like that. I'd never I guess I never thought about it.

Mr Fun (17:28)
I

taught you a word a meaning, a word? I taught you something. Yes, a lands.

Biff (17:31)
Yeah, like

well then it's Sir Lancelot. Does that mean that's all he did was joust?

Mr Fun (17:35)
Well, there's a joke there too about he his his a lance a lot, but it no, I won't tell it. I won't tell it. But it

Biff (17:41)
Okay, well, you gonna

Mr Fun (17:43)
back to the question. No, you can I have a hard problem. Honestly, I'm not a frequent flyer. And for some reason, I don't like the whole idea of carry-ons. I'm always looking because it's probably too big. Or am I gonna be able to get my bag up there because that guy brought the carry-on and another pair thing, blah blah.

So I don't I just don't like the whole idea of carry on. So the answer to your question is if you can't lift it, you can't bring it on the plane. You can't.

Slab (18:12)
What about the

person that shows up after you and is moving your bag around to squeeze their oversized bag in?

Mr Fun (18:18)
Yeah. Yeah.

Biff (18:20)
Yeah. I I

I I've never thought about it in the the context of if you can't lift it up, you can't put it on the carry on. So that's that's a it's a good question. I don't I don't know the answer to that necessarily, but the the the the larger point, which is the societal norms, you know, courtesy, right? Chivalry, dare dare we say it, which is to help somebody lift their bag up. I have done that. I think we probably all have at some level helped somebody lift a bag up and nobody's

Mr Fun (18:46)
If she's eighty, I'll help the eighty year old.

Slab (18:48)
Yeah, that's the question. If

they're elderly, does it change? Yeah.

Biff (18:51)
No, wait, wait,

wait. So you you would only do it, Mr. Fo. Let's be clear on this. So if the person was older to help them get their back.

Mr Fun (18:57)
to look at it through

your through your perspective 'cause I'm sure like you've probably had people help you with your back. I didn't really think about it that way. I'm being selfish. You're right. You're right.

Biff (19:07)
No,

but but you're only gonna do it. So so we got the the the limit statue of limitations is that you gotta be eighty. You gotta be elderly.

Mr Fun (19:14)
You gotta

you gotta be elderly. Yeah. Yeah.

Slab (19:16)
You gotta look decrepit, baby. You can't ask

Biff (19:18)
Really? What if

Slab (19:19)
their ID, you're only seventy seven, I'm not pulling your bag.

Biff (19:19)
the what if the person is so what what if

the person's short?

Mr Fun (19:23)
Yep. kids, elderly, men and women, and midgets. Those are the only categories

Biff (19:28)
Mm-hmm.

Mr Fun (19:33)
yes.

Slab (19:32)
Little people. We're being

little people.

Biff (19:34)
Yeah,

but so if if if you're a five foot one woman who's not a little person, they can't reach up there.

Slab (19:43)
gotta

help. If you're on the aisle seat, you gotta help. What about if you are

Biff (19:44)
You gotta help, right? I I'm I'm just I'm

Slab (19:48)
waiting to get off the plane and the person across from you or right in front of you is struggling to get their bag out? Do you pull

Mr Fun (19:55)
I love them then.

Slab (19:55)
the bag out for them selfishly to say you can get the heck off the plane?

Mr Fun (19:58)
Yeah. I love then.

Biff (20:00)
god. I didn't know you're

Mr Fun (20:00)
Yeah. I mean if I help

with the bag, they should buy me a drink. They should buy me a bloody Mary.

Biff (20:05)
So, all right, let's go back to to travel though. So, Mr. Fun, you don't travel carry on bag?

Mr Fun (20:11)
I have usually my backpack with my laptop and stuff in it. Yeah, I've

Biff (20:15)
So you can shove it under your feet if you need to.

Mr Fun (20:17)
never I can't say never, but very, very, very infrequently have I travel like gone on a trip where I only have the carry on. Yeah.

Biff (20:25)
Right. Yeah.

I don't I look it's a it's it is a stressful ad to travel, having done it a lot, right? So you got your carry-on and if you're and you're in loading group four, right? It's are you gonna get on? Get your bag up there and and you know, save yourself time when you're on the other end. But it's it it is it's something we've that that's the nature of the beast now, right? They charge for bags. They don't charge

Mr Fun (20:47)
Yeah.

Biff (20:47)
for carry on.

Slab (20:47)
Yeah, but

so just

Mr Fun (20:48)
Right.

Slab (20:49)
flew flew back and forth to Boston a couple weeks ago. And it was one of the ones where you have to pay extra to check your bag. But if it's a carry-on bag and you bring it to the gate, they call out, Hey, you know, free check your bag here at the gate, because there's not gonna be enough room up top in the carry-on. So you don't check your bag when you get to the airport. You bring it to the gate when they offer, let us check your bag for free here, a easier

Mr Fun (21:13)
Hey,

Slab (21:13)
way to do it.

Mr Fun (21:14)
maybe you guys can help me with something. And again, I'm not a frequent traveler. If there was a while where I was looking I got to the airport and they had all the machines that plastic wrapped your luggage. Do those still exist? And why why haven't I seen them as much?

Slab (21:26)
No South

America. We if you're traveling to South America, like at the Miami airport a lot they do that. And it's supposed to keep the baggage handlers from ransacking your your luggage there.

Mr Fun (21:39)
Because that's what

South American ba baggage handlers do?

Slab (21:42)
Yeah,

I think that it's a bigger problem down there. So they're wrapping it in all the plastic. So that at least you

Mr Fun (21:46)
Really?

Slab (21:46)
can see if it's been cut open. If the plastic's been cut open, you know that somebody went through your bag and took your intimate apparel or, you know, your electric razor.

Biff (21:53)
All right, let's do a show recap

here. All right, we've offended women, short people, and now South Americans. And the and and one we're we're we're ahead of the curve. What? Make it better.

Slab (22:01)
Not all of South Americans, maybe the Central Americans more than South Americans.

Mr Fun (22:05)
The Central Americans are thieves. Are thieves

you're calling them.

Slab (22:10)
Mm-hmm.

Biff (22:11)
Are

the is it the the the Central Americans are thieves? Yeah, just keep digging, Slap. You're you're you're you're j you're jumping right into this show. You're you're doing well.

Slab (22:18)
am I at the bottom yet? What countries am I specifically?

Mr Fun (22:19)
Who invited this who invited this guy?

Biff (22:21)
you're he's well actually the way he's going, he's gonna he's no longer gonna be honorary, he's gonna be a permanent member if he keeps if

Mr Fun (22:26)
I I know.

Biff (22:27)
he keeps offending people. That's good.

Slab (22:28)
Alright, so

Slab (22:33)
Here's another one that's in the news, fresh from Hollywood. At a Vegas drink expo, Johnny Depp stopped for photos and spontaneously bit off a piece of the Photoops fake plant wall. Video shows Depp nibbling a leaf, spitting it out, then going back for a bigger bite of the set piece. He appeared to be just having fun with onlookers. If a tree falls in Vegas and Johnny Depp eats it, does that move the world?

Like what's the strangest thing you guys have ever seen a public celebrity do in public?

Mr Fun (23:04)
Well wait, this is he was eating the decorations.

Slab (23:07)
He was eating the the plant wall behind him at a drink expo.

Mr Fun (23:13)
Huh. Do you know that speaking of decorations,

Slab (23:14)
So he turns around and munches the wall.

Mr Fun (23:17)
Mrs. Biff asked well Biff decided to put the Christmas tree up himself last year and after eight hours surgeons finally removed it.

Biff (23:27)
What is wrong with you? I get I I I understand that. I I I I I I

Mr Fun (23:29)
Because it was up him it was he put it up. Okay. What is the strangest

Slab (23:33)
So

Mr Fun (23:36)
thing I've ever seen a celebrity do? What was the question?

Slab (23:37)
Yeah.

Biff (23:40)
Yeah, I don't look, I one, it's weird what Johnny Depp did, even though he's trying to be funny, I guess, and and and grab some eyeballs. You know, you you think about the things like it's not weird in the sense of like that. It's you the most famous one's gotta be the Super Bowl with Timberlake and who was it, J Lo? Who

Slab (23:58)
Kenneth Jackson.

Biff (23:59)
Janet Jackson, right? Took the top off, right? Took her part of yeah, part of

Slab (24:04)
accident, right? It was a a wardrobe malfunction

that he could

Biff (24:07)
Well yeah it wasn't

Mr Fun (24:07)
I'll never

forget it. I'll never forget

Biff (24:08)
yeah.

Mr Fun (24:09)
that.

Biff (24:09)
So but that you know, that's the sort of thing that you would see. th most celebrities just dress wacky. Right? They just they just look ridiculous.

Mr Fun (24:17)
Wait, the most embarrassing how about Will Smith smacking what's his name? Yeah, that was

Slab (24:22)
Chris. Yeah.

Biff (24:22)
Chris Rock. Yeah.

Mr Fun (24:24)
crazy.

Biff (24:25)
Yeah. I yeah. Yeah. It it

Slab (24:25)
Keep my wife's name off your mouth. Out your mouth. There we go.

Mr Fun (24:27)
Yeah.

Biff (24:29)
it's like Lady Gaga wearing the meat dress. I mean they these they they're they're just grabbing attention. That's all they're trying

Mr Fun (24:36)
Yeah.

Slab (24:36)
Mr. Far, would you have

gone and and pulled a bite off of the meat dress?

Mr Fun (24:39)
I I think she was just trying to be a ham.

Biff (24:44)
I just that's I I gotta say it every time. You y you

Slab (24:48)
You're making me laugh.

Biff (24:50)
you you had no idea we were gonna talk about Lady Gaga on a meat dress. Yeah,

Mr Fun (24:53)
I didn't know we were gonna talk about meat dresses.

Biff (24:55)
that's good. More more power to you. Which is

Slab (24:58)
We dresses meet curtains before.

Biff (25:00)
which is a good segue, Miss Run. We forgot to promote it yet again. The give a hoot show on November twelfth at seven PM for the best comedian in Montgomery County, Maryland contest. that yeah you

Mr Fun (25:09)
Yeah. I'll be there.

I'll be there. I'll try to be funny. Hopefully

Biff (25:11)
You'll be there. Any any

any shows before then though that we can help promote?

Mr Fun (25:17)
no, I'm I'm I I I'm really struggling to find the time to do open mics. It's got me a little wigged out. So yeah.

Biff (25:23)
Okay. All right. How's

the joke how's the joke writing going? Good?

Mr Fun (25:26)
I don't know. I I I r I no I you I'm gonna do a very similar act until this competition is over. So you guys have seen it already. I just can't take any chances. I gotta go

Biff (25:36)
Okay.

Mr Fun (25:36)
with the few jokes that I know will make you laugh. And

Biff (25:38)
Okay.

Mr Fun (25:39)
then I'm gonna then I'm gonna change everything. Then I'm gonna ditch everything and start all over again.

Slab (25:42)
So you so you don't have to bring in all new material for each round?

Mr Fun (25:46)
What's that?

Slab (25:47)
Do you have to bring in all new material for each content?

Mr Fun (25:49)
No, you you

do you do the y I I mean as boring as it sounds, all these guys in the competition do the same six minutes every time. Every time. And even guys who do crowd work, guys, they'll like say something to the crowd and it'll be a different person in the crowd, but they'll say the same joke. And i it's it's crazy. It's crazy. So

Biff (26:08)
Okay. That's interesting.

Mr Fun (26:10)
anyway, we'll see how it goes. We'll see how goes.

Slab (26:12)
It'll go great.

Biff (26:12)
What el

other semi celebrity news, slab well, you know, even sports coaches are celebrities to a a sc certain point. There was another story that you you raised. Which which one is this?

Slab (26:21)
yeah. Crazy

story. Greg Popovich, this is TMZ reporting, Spurs coach Greg Popovich married Mary Beth Buddenholzer, the ex-wife of his longtime assistant Mike Buddenholzer. Question for you guys: Is there a bro code that says there's a statute of limitations on when a friend's ex becomes

marketable again or off limits? Does it change after a divorce? At what point is it okay for you to date your friend's ex?

Mr Fun (26:57)
And is it different in basketball getting somebody on the rebound? Yeah. I don't know.

Biff (27:01)
Yeah. That's very funny.

Mr Fun (27:05)
is there statute of limitation? You know, gosh, I don't know all the facts. I'm gonna mess it up. But back when I was a kid, the story was that two Yankee pitchers swapped wives. They both divorced their wives, and each one married the other person's wife. And they stayed on good terms. that's a crazy story. I'll bring that I'll I'll bring more facts to that next time.

That's crazy.

Biff (27:27)
So well let me ask you, Slab, do you think there's a statue of of limitations?

Slab (27:32)
so it depends on how serious the relationship was. If it's just somebody

Biff (27:35)
Okay.

Slab (27:35)
that your friend casually dated and broke up with, but if it

Biff (27:38)
Right. Mm-hmm.

Slab (27:40)
was a serious if it was a spout a wife or, you know, a serious relationship for a long time, I think you gotta look elsewhere. You know, it's it it's it's kind of creepy.

Mr Fun (27:49)
Just just so you guys know,

I'm intentionally repulsive to your wives so that they never marry me. If you guys split up there's no fear of that. I do that on purpose. I do that on purpose. There's no

Slab (27:56)
That works.

Biff (28:00)
You're playing the long game.

Mr Fun (28:05)
threat of your wives ever marrying me.

Slab (28:07)
I was worried about that.

Biff (28:08)
What what is the

what's the age difference in this relationship, Slab? Do you have any idea?

Slab (28:14)
it doesn't say in the story, so we're gonna say seven years, but I don't know. So here

Biff (28:17)
Seven.

Slab (28:19)
here's a it let me change the story and make it personal for my family, not my direct family.

Mr Fun (28:24)
What?

Slab (28:25)
My my cousin and his best friend and a girl, they were all three best friends. The best friend of the girl got married, had a kid, and then he suddenly died. My cousin married the widow, and

raised the kid, had more kids with them and now have a family together. But it it was his best friend's wife.

Mr Fun (28:46)
That's good. I think that's noble

and awesome. I do. Yeah, I hope

Biff (28:49)
Yeah, that's a completely different circumstance. That's not the

Mr Fun (28:51)
the family embraced that. I have a friend who did a similar thing, and the family was upset with the wife. Because she didn't spend

Slab (28:57)
Yeah.

Mr Fun (28:59)
enough time grieving, I guess. She got married about a year later. Yeah. You know, we have a good

Biff (29:02)
Yeah. So good.

Mr Fun (29:04)
friend who got divorced and then tried to get back with his ex, but she saw right through it that he just wanted to, he's he was just after his money.

Biff (29:17)
I got it. All

Mr Fun (29:15)
He wanted his money back, you see? All right.

Biff (29:18)
right. Good. All right. NFL picks. just quickly here. last week was not a good week for yours truly and actually Mr. Fun. You know, we

Mr Fun (29:28)
Really?

Biff (29:28)
we picked four games. Mr. Fun, you went one and three last

Mr Fun (29:32)
Wow.

Biff (29:33)
week, which brings your su season total to five and six. You went from a winning

Mr Fun (29:36)
Okay.

Biff (29:36)
record to a losing record. I went one and three, further digging my hole. Went from from

Three and four to now I'm four and seven. Lucky, on the other hand, went three and one. So he is

Mr Fun (29:47)
Wow.

Biff (29:48)
now leading at six and five. But let's get to let's

Slab (29:50)
There's a ton of upsets this week.

Biff (29:52)
get to this week's

Mr Fun (29:52)
Mine was 'cause I

didn't I I messed up 'cause I thought the game was in Mexico City. Somebody told me that. Yeah. I know. I know. I know.

Biff (29:58)
exactly. You actually chose the team that won. That's the only game you got correct. So don't

let's let's not use that expect that excuse. So this week's games as as we do every week, we bet on the the the four local three local teams, if you will, and then the New York Jets for Mr. Fun. So quickly, Mr. Fun, Washington versus Indianapolis Colts. It's in Washington. If I recall, they won last week.

Mr Fun (30:22)
Washington's not gonna win a game this year. What's their record now?

They won last week. That's their one win. I'm going Indianapolis. Do you know the point spread by any chance? Not that we're

Biff (30:26)
They they won last week. You've said that. So you're going Indianapolis. Okay, so three and a half

points. that Washington's getting three and a half. Okay. All

Mr Fun (30:37)
Yeah, yeah. They need more than that.

Biff (30:39)
right. The the Ravens are playing the Tennessee Titans at home in Baltimore with a lot of points going to the Ravens. Or the Ravens giving a lot of points. Okay.

Mr Fun (30:46)
I love I I I I like the Ravens. I like the Ravens.

Biff (30:49)
All right. The next game is the Eagles. They are playing the

Los Angeles Rams at home. Interestingly, also getting points are the Eagles. And the Rams have a losing record.

Mr Fun (31:01)
I think the c is is Jalen Hurts hurt? Yeah. Yeah.

Biff (31:04)
That I don't know. He got he got tagged in the last game. I don't know if

Slab (31:06)
He he Yeah,

Biff (31:07)
he's Yeah. All

Slab (31:07)
he played horrible last week.

Biff (31:10)
right, so who do you have Eagles or the Rams?

Mr Fun (31:12)
I think I'll go Eagles.

Biff (31:14)
Okay, all right. And then the last game, your New York J E T S Jets, Jets, Jets are playing the Chicago Bears in Chicago.

Mr Fun (31:21)
Chicago looks so good with the backup quarterback. The Jets, though, are learning to win. Jeez, I can't bet against my Jets. I'm gonna go Jets with the upset. I'll probably lose, but

Biff (31:30)
Okay.

Mr Fun (31:32)
I can't go against them.

Biff (31:33)
okay. Slab, just quickly we'll go in reverse order. Jets versus Chicago. Who do you have?

Slab (31:38)
Bears.

Biff (31:39)
Bears. Okay. Then the the Eagles

Mr Fun (31:40)
Yeah, that's a safe bet. Hmm.

Biff (31:42)
against the Rams in ho at home.

Slab (31:44)
Gotta go Eagles.

Biff (31:45)
All right. Ravens against the Tennessee Titans at home.

Slab (31:49)
it will be a huge Ravens win that in the fourth quarter they'll make it really close, but they'll pull it out.

Biff (31:55)
All right. And then Washington commanders against Indianapolis at home.

Slab (31:58)
That's a tough one. The way that the Redskins closed out last week, I'm going Redskins. Commanders. Commanders. Here we go.

Biff (32:04)
All right. That's all right. You can call them Redskins. We're okay at that. So

me quickly on the Commanders, I am going to take the Commanders. Then on the Ravens, I'm going take the Ravens. Eagles, I'm going to go with the prognosticators. I'm going to take the Rams. So the Eagles lose. And then on the Jets versus the Bears. I hate to do it, Mr. Fun, but I'm going to take the Bears on.

Mr Fun (32:24)
You

almost have to. I get it. I get it.

I get it.

Biff (32:28)
And finally for our German picker, Lucky, I did text him, he gave me his picks for this week. He is going to take he the commanders losing to to Indianapolis, the Ravens winning against Tennessee, the Eagles losing against what would you say there? The Rams and the Jets losing against the Bears. So, you know, his three losses and a win were good to him last week. He's gonna have to do that same thing this week. So we'll have to stay tuned and I will recap on the next show. So

What else is going on, Slap?

Slab (32:57)
This story's all over the news. Everyone's probably already been thinking about it. The big trend of Gen Z job applicants bringing iced coffee to interviews. Now, I'm a recruiter and I'm constantly prepping people for interviews. I think that you don't bring anything in with you. I don't care how old you are, you don't bring your your

Starbucks iced coffee into the interview. You wait for somebody to offer you a water or a coffee. What do you guys think? Is it appropriate? And what other interview behavior immediately makes you judge someone?

Biff (33:34)
Mean I well, the first time I read the story, I was immediately had the same reaction you had, which is you don't bring anything into it. I found it interesting to me that they focus so much on the iced coffee. Like that's some like the i it it delineates something about age or something like that. And I'm like, well, A, you don't bring anything, and B, the iced coffee is just noise in the system. I j I just think that it's just a it's it.

It's representative of a generational issue in my view. that's that's the problem. That was my first take on it. so I don't know, Mr. Funn, you're you've you've hired people.

Mr Fun (34:07)
I I I was just

thinking I I the other day I I made iced coffee, but instead of water, I made it with Red Bull and I was halfway to work on the beltway before I realized I forgot my car.

Biff (34:19)
Ha

Mr Fun (34:20)
So

yeah, I think I think it's weird to bring anything. I mean, I'm I'm impressed when people bring like a notebook and take notes. I think it's super impressive when somebody like you ask them, Do you have any questions for me? And they go, Yes, I do. And they have a few written down. I'm like, those are impressive things to to ask. You don't want to ask though, like, how many days off do I get a year? And can I work remotely as much as possible?

There's certain things you shouldn't ask that people do ask. It's unbelievable. I've interviewed people that they're one of the first questions is, How much of this job is remote? They they do that.

Biff (34:55)
So

well here's a here's a question of thinking thinking about it. So during COVID and probably still to this day, some form of interviews, a lot of them are online, right? They're remote.

Mr Fun (35:04)
Yeah.

Slab (35:05)
Yeah,

ton.

Biff (35:05)
So d does is it a different rule when you're remote that you can actually have a lava lamp over your left shoulder like Slab is, or this biggest thing in the world? Slab has a lava lamp if you can't see that, Mr. Yeah.

Mr Fun (35:15)
I saw a interview taking

place in Starbucks where the woman was like I was I was so interested, I was definitely eavesdropping. And she was doing

Biff (35:24)
But but

Mr Fun (35:25)
her job interview from Starbucks.

Biff (35:27)
But why is I guess the question is the the rules are different if you're remote that you could take a sip of something? Question?

Slab (35:33)
I think you can take a sip of something anytime. And the majority of interviews are still remote. An in-person interview, at least in my world, is very rare. It's definitely not a first interview, maybe a second interview. Come in and meet the team, or in one case I was talking to a guy yesterday for a job. He wants to go see the facility where he's gonna be work, 'cause he's gonna be moving a lot of equipment as a part of his job. But almost every interview is a video interview teams or Zoom or something.

fully remote and if you you're gonna call if you you grab a drink or something. It but

Mr Fun (36:03)
By the way,

I'm not inter I'm not I'm not hiring anybody who drinks iced coffee. Just not. It's such a it's su it's not a good drink. It's not

Biff (36:11)
It's

Mr Fun (36:12)
a good I mean if you're gonna drink coffee, heat the damn thing up. Heat the damn thing up.

Biff (36:15)
But let's get into that.

Mr Fun (36:18)
My my my first girlfriends

were a lot like iced coffee. not hot and I found them at seven eleven.

Biff (36:29)
So so well, I guess the the three of us, and it probably is a generational thing, would say, you know, if it's a if it's an in person interview, you don't bring anything in besides a pad of paper or whatever you use to prep, which I think is fair.

Mr Fun (36:41)
Do you drink iced coffee? I'm just curious.

Biff (36:43)
I do not. It's one thing they ask me all the time in the summer when it's hot and I don't drink an ice coffee. I just don't I don't find it that appealing.

Mr Fun (36:49)
I wanna smack when they

go, Would you like that hot or cold? I'm like, Duh, heat it up, babe.

Biff (36:55)
Yeah. there we go. All right. So now we've again we're what just the the body count here is Central American, South American, short people, some women even in the first segment, and now other women you've offended. Babe.

Slab (37:07)
And ice coffee drinkers.

Biff (37:09)
Nice coffee.

Mr Fun (37:09)
And all the ice coffee drinkers. And and

Slab (37:12)
Rapid channel.

Mr Fun (37:13)
all the knights trying to bring their lances onto planes.

Biff (37:15)
Yeah. So good. So I mentioned AI earlier in the show. There was some feedback because we we seemingly have an AI story because it's so all all encompassing now in in in our lives. but I you know I caught this one about their the AI the obviously the the machines themselves, the learning is they're doing things they shouldn't be doing. But then, you know, Slab, you shared something about where there's actually

human interaction on AI, which seems to be counterintuitive. What what what is somebody accused of or what do they do?

Slab (37:43)
Yeah, so is this is a this is

a weird one. So Meta's new Muse, which you were talking about in

Biff (37:50)
Uh-huh.

Slab (37:51)
an earlier podcast, the AI assistant that it was offering you was secretly sneaking in actually a human concierge behind its Muse AI. The the weirdest thing in the world to me. So live people are actually making some of the calls that are doing

things that the AI is supposed to be doing with you. Are you I am totally bothered by what I think is AI listening to me about a problem or something I want to solve, but it's actually just some random dude saying, yes, I think that that, you know, you should definitely bet on the jets. That's a great bet. It it's what what would

Mr Fun (38:28)
Hmm.

Biff (38:28)
Yeah.

Slab (38:30)
you think about finding out that the AI that was answering your questions was actually not a computer, it was actually a person doing it.

Mr Fun (38:37)
Wait, I think

I might like it better. I might be missing the point. Like, I don't wanna talk to AI, I wanna talk to a real person. So if they slip a real person in there, I'm good.

Biff (38:45)
Yeah,

yeah, I don't it's it's again interesting question because if you go to a chat bot now, which is a lot of things online are chat bots, right? And or chat, I shouldn't say it's a bot, you know, sometimes you hope to Mr. Font's point it's a person as opposed to a AI chat bot, right? Just picking up keywords or something like that. And I and I I don't they don't disclose it to the best of my knowledge, that it's you know, that a person may join jump on, or vice versa.

Mr Fun (39:10)
No.

Biff (39:12)
so why is Muse

different. 'Cause I think you attributed it to Muse, which is the new meta one, right?

Slab (39:17)
Yeah. Like Muse will

make you a a restaurant reservation. Hey,

Biff (39:21)
Right.

Slab (39:21)
get me a a table for four at the the local slot.

Biff (39:24)
So somebody has to call then, presumably, or they gotta go to open table.

Slab (39:27)
Yeah, the o the AI would go to open table and make that reservation, but what they're doing is secretly using humans to do stuff for you instead of the AIs.

Mr Fun (39:36)
You you know what I was thinking about the other day, and I don't know, I this isn't like funny. I I haven't really thought this through before, but now you have computers making you verify that you're not a robot by making you select traffic lights on pictures of traffic lights. The computer

Biff (39:54)
Yeah. Right.

Mr Fun (39:56)
now wants to know for sure that you're a human. That's that's so backwards.

Slab (40:02)
That that's

Biff (40:02)
Ha.

Slab (40:03)
have we offended China yet? Because the

Biff (40:05)
Yeah

Slab (40:06)
next story, that's a perfect segue,

Mr Fun (40:09)
Is it?

Slab (40:10)
Yep. So Anthro Anthropic's new security report, research has revealed a Chinese run network that created 20 plus dating apps populated with forty seven hundred AI chatbot personas. Over twenty-five thousand unwitting users chatted up these bots.

Which were partly run by humans, with two point three six million messages sent. So you're on a dating app and you think you're swiping right or s swiping left and you're actually being catfished by an AI pretending to be that other person.

Mr Fun (40:47)
I wouldn't do well with dating apps now. Like I remember this girl, I sh I saw her app dating app. It said that when she wanted a man that could make her laugh out loud. So when I went to her house I went to the door naked.

She loved me. She loved

Biff (41:02)
She did

Mr Fun (41:03)
me.

Biff (41:03)
she gave you an L L L L O L, right? Is that what she did there?

Mr Fun (41:06)
No, I

just think I I it's all lies,

Slab (41:08)
You make it last long time.

Mr Fun (41:09)
right? Like you you don't tell the truth in these profiles, do you? Like

Biff (41:13)
Sho but but they're saying, Slab, that there was no human anywhere in this. It wasn't embellishment.

Slab (41:18)
No, there it was

it was

twenty five thousand people unwittingly were were trying to pick up forty seven hundred AI chatbots that were pretending to be, you know, Mary Joe from Bethesda.

Mr Fun (41:32)
I heard they're also voting in the election. Not just joking.

Biff (41:34)
Yeah, stop.

But so to what end why would a company do that? What are they trying to are they ultimately trying to get the guy's credit c or girl's credit card number?

Slab (41:46)
Yeah,

Mr Fun (41:46)
Maybe.

Slab (41:47)
you're you're paying for to send all those messages. I hear. I don't know, but I hear that you pay on the data apps

to be able to continue to send messages.

Mr Fun (41:55)
You were drunk when you did it. You were drunk when you did it, so you don't really

Biff (41:57)
Yeah. That's funny.

Mr Fun (41:58)
remember.

Slab (42:01)
I don't think that that actually happened, but it could be. Could be. So

Mr Fun (42:06)
Yeah. Wow.

Biff (42:06)
Good. So what's

what else you got, Soc?

Slab (42:11)
I so this question's really for Mr. Fun. The what would you pay for? The story on on Podemo is saying someone's charging forty one dollars an hour for professional back scratching.

Mr Fun (42:24)
Oof. Yeah, where do I write

Slab (42:25)
What

Mr Fun (42:26)
the check?

Slab (42:26)
what completely ridiculous service would you secretly pay for, Mr. Fun?

Mr Fun (42:31)
Well, first of all, I would

absolutely pay forty one dollars to have somebody an hour? Forty one dollars an hour? I

Slab (42:36)
Profession Professional back scratching. It doesn't have a

Biff (42:39)
Okay.

Slab (42:39)
have a duration on it.

Biff (42:39)
Okay, but so

and I I like, you know, to me it's almost an offshoot of a massage, right? It's just what it is. You people do that, right? Some people don't like to be touched, but it I don't mind massages. But back scratching is a very personal thing in the sense that there's fingernails involved. You want some stranger's fingernails on your back?

Mr Fun (42:57)
Yes, yes I do.

Slab (42:59)
It almost took him two seconds to get to that. Yeah. Of course I do.

Mr Fun (43:02)
Yes. I mean as

long as it's not like a a six foot eight truck driver. Yes, I want fingernails.

Slab (43:08)
That's what the question is.

Do you you don't get to pick gender? Just somebody shows up. Hi, I'm Ralph, I'm your back scratcher.

Mr Fun (43:13)
No, no, no, no. Like that's a big thing. My my

wife when we were dating got me a massage, a couple's massage, and she hooks me up with this guy to be my masseuse. And she was really like confused when I was like, No, no, no, no, I don't do the guy masseuse thing. Yeah, I don't want a guy touching

Slab (43:29)
Sigue.

Mr Fun (43:29)
her. She was like Aren't you

Biff (43:30)
My my last

massage my last massage was from a guy. I had never had one before, but it was like a sports massage. He just, you know, it was his name was his name was Chris, as a matter of fact.

Mr Fun (43:35)
What was his name? When's his birthday? What's his favorite flower?

Slab (43:40)
Was he wearing white pants by any chance?

Biff (43:42)
Stop. he might have been wearing white pants because it's sort of a you know medical thingy, but

Mr Fun (43:46)
When are you seeing him again?

Biff (43:48)
I am we have no dates.

Mr Fun (43:50)
What was his fingernails

Slab (43:50)
Was he a good kisser?

Mr Fun (43:51)
like?

Biff (43:52)
he did not he did not back scratch me. Just be

Mr Fun (43:54)
He did other things.

Biff (43:55)
he did he did not back scratch me.

Slab (43:57)
So Mr. Fun, you've

had a a male massage. Biff, you've

Mr Fun (44:00)
Once

Slab (44:00)
had a male massage. I've had a male massage too. Yeah. Yeah. We went to Nemicolan and the

Biff (44:02)
Yeah. Now what about you, Slab? You have, see? Huh?

Mr Fun (44:02)
Only once.

Slab (44:09)
there was no women masseuses left and Herc came in. You know, it

Biff (44:11)
Yeah. Herc.

Slab (44:16)
it was not as enjoyable as it could have been.

Biff (44:18)
What's your name?

Slab? Yeah, that's right. All

Mr Fun (44:20)
I talked about football for fifty minutes. I do have football. Yeah.

Slab (44:23)
Yeah. How about the chats?

Biff (44:27)
right, well, let's bring this home on a a provocative question sort of related to that. If you had to lose one body part, what body part would you choose and why? So that's a question. If you had to lose one body part, it can't

Mr Fun (44:41)
And it has to be an exterior part, right?

Biff (44:44)
be your hair. Let's just I'm just gonna put that rule out there.

So if you had to lose one body part, what would it be and why?

Mr Fun (44:50)
Well, I think I could hide I know it's a wimpy quest but I w take my little toes. Take both. No, take the one next to Take the one in Yeah w Yeah. Yeah. Okay,

Biff (44:58)
That that's what I was gonna choose was not the one on the end, the one kind of the the ring toe, if you will.

Slab (45:02)
Worked out.

Mr Fun (45:04)
well we should get away from toes, 'cause nobody know needs that toe, right?

Biff (45:07)
Okay. All right. wh wh what do you about you, Slab?

Slab (45:10)
I'm gonna lose my second or third chin.

Biff (45:14)
Yeah, yeah.

All right.

Slab (45:19)
What's shaking?

All four cheeks and a couple of chins?

Biff (45:21)
Yeah, that

Mr Fun (45:21)
Yes.

Biff (45:22)
yeah, that's right. you know, I the the toes was the easy one, one 'cause you could hide it.

Mr Fun (45:27)
Yeah.

Biff (45:27)
I I suppose the same might apply to a pinky. As long as it's not on your not on your dominant hand, though. I I think the ring finger?

Mr Fun (45:31)
No, no, the one next to the pinky. The one The one next to the pinky. The one next to the pinky. Yeah.

Biff (45:38)
You would lose your ring finger?

Mr Fun (45:40)
No, no, that's not my ring finger. Yeah, the one that doesn't have

Biff (45:42)
Yeah it is.

Mr Fun (45:42)
the band on it. The

Biff (45:44)
Well that's

that's the middle finger, isn't it? Isn't it what

Mr Fun (45:47)
Now I'm talking about the one that you know, that's not on

my wedding yeah, the other one. The other hand without your wedding. Yeah, you get rid of get rid of that. You don't need that.

Biff (45:52)
You're talking about this hand. The right you see you're talking about you're gonna

get rid of your you're a dominant right hand person. You're gonna get rid of the ring finger in your right hand.

Mr Fun (46:00)
Yeah, can I play golf without that once I start pr playing golf?

Slab (46:03)
Yeah you

Biff (46:03)
Yeah,

it gives you more overlap in your grip 'cause you got a whole gap there.

Slab (46:06)
There

Mr Fun (46:06)
Do you

Slab (46:06)
you go.

Mr Fun (46:06)
need

the outer part of your ear? Do you need it?

Slab (46:10)
You would look s yeah, how are you

Biff (46:10)
The outer port meaning

Slab (46:11)
gonna wear glasses without it? Your glasses are gonna be doing this? Like

Mr Fun (46:13)
that's true. I could

Biff (46:14)
Yeah yeah.

Mr Fun (46:14)
clip to my nose. I'd get ones that clip to my nose. Yeah.

Biff (46:19)
would you I you can get rid of your teeth, I suppose, right?

Mr Fun (46:23)
I I love my teeth.

Biff (46:25)
Okay. Yeah, look at you. For those that can see us on YouTube, which is a good plug. Again, you can watch

Mr Fun (46:30)
Yes, yes.

Biff (46:32)
us on YouTube each week, and our shorts. again, you go to watch last smartly there. We're obviously on the podcast platforms, everything Apple, Spotify, you name it. Everything I pay for apparently. I looked at my Amex bill this week. I went, what am I paying for these days? Apparently I'm paying for

Mr Fun (46:46)
Right.

Biff (46:47)
every service. I got zero kids in the house, and I'm paying for all these services still. So again.

Either watch us or listen to us, but you know, like, subscribe, share, share, share. Because we w the reason we want you to do that is because it's the only way that mister Funn's final joke is going to get out there for everybody. What is that final joke?

Mr Fun (47:04)
Yeah. Yeah, you wanna hear it?

Slab (47:04)
For your final joke,

because of sharing the podcast, I gotta shout out one of our most loyal listeners, BTD, big tall Don from Leightonsville, has never missed an episode. Listen to

Biff (47:16)
Awesome.

Slab (47:17)
every moment. And Big Tall Don from Leightonsville. He he is he doesn't know it, but

Mr Fun (47:18)
nice, good. Good. Yeah.

Biff (47:19)
Well thank you. He he becomes super fan s status for for for that. That's awesome.

Slab (47:24)
he just became a super fan, getting a mention.

Mr Fun (47:25)
Awesome. Awesome.

Biff (47:26)
That's awesome.

So what's the final joke, Ms. Front?

Mr Fun (47:28)
So Slab goes to the doctor to have his to to have an appointment and he's sitting there with all the other people and the doctor comes out and he says and he calls him out by his real full name. And so Slab goes, Hey, I feel like that's an invasion of my privacy. I mean now everybody knows that I was here to see the doctor. And the doctor goes, Never really thought about that. It's just always been done that way.

And and it Slab goes, Well, I think you should change it. So he looks down at his clipboard he goes, Okay, would the guy who got naked and sat on a hamster please come to the examination room?

Biff (48:02)
That's

very good.

Mr Fun (48:05)
Ha ha ha.

Slab (48:05)
shit.

Biff (48:06)
That is very good. So Slab,

Slab (48:08)
It happens.

Biff (48:09)
once again, thank you for for joining us here. it's you've been a a a

Slab (48:12)
I honestly.

Biff (48:13)
great special guest host. we we appreciate

Mr Fun (48:14)
Awesome, man.

Biff (48:15)
that. We will see Lucky when he gets back. He doesn't have the Wally Pip syndrome, and that's an old person's reference, right? Wally Pip was what what did Gehrig play third base? Outfield? First base.

Mr Fun (48:25)
First base. First base.

Biff (48:26)
So Wally Pip was the first baseman that went out, and then Lou Gehrig broke the

games streak in baseball.

Mr Fun (48:31)
Yeah.

Biff (48:32)
So anyways, you're y you will be back on another time, but it won't be next week 'cause Lucky will be joining us. So good to see you guys. Thank you everybody for listening. it's we will do it again next week. Until then, let me just say goodbye.
